What we collect when you get in touch or we work for you, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it and your rights. Effective 2 November 2026.
Who we are
This website is run by MKM ROOFING SOLUTIONS LTD, trading as MKM Roofing Solutions. We are the controller of the personal information described here: we decide why and how it is used.
To ask about your information, use our enquiry form, email info@mkmroofing.co.uk, call 07351 309958.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we receive what you type into the form: your name, postcode, phone number and/or email address, what the enquiry is about and any message.
When we inspect, quote or do the work we also record the address, notes and photographs of the roof and the building, what we repair or install, and payment and invoice details.
When you visit the site the server that hosts it keeps short-term technical logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type), including when the enquiry form is sent, to keep it secure and working.
We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send, payment card details through the form.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers or social media widgets, and its fonts are served from our own server. See our cookies statement.
Why we use it

We never sell your details, we don't send marketing you haven't asked for, and we don't make decisions about you by automated means.
Who else handles it
- Azury Digital & Tech Solutions Ltd hosts and maintains this website and its enquiry form for us, on servers in London provided by IONOS. They act only on our instructions under a written agreement.
- Our email provider, which delivers enquiries to our inbox and carries the emails we send you.
- Building control or a competent person scheme, where work has to be notified under the Building Regulations - they receive the address and a description of the work.
- A guarantee provider, with your agreement, where a guarantee on the work is backed by insurance. The provider then uses those details under its own privacy notice.
- Anyone the law requires us to tell, such as HMRC.
We don't transfer your details outside the UK.
How long we keep it

Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or stop using it. Where you gave it to us for a contract, you can also ask for a copy in a form you can pass to someone else. Some records, such as tax records, we must keep even if you ask us to delete them, and we'll tell you if that applies.
There's normally no charge, and we'll respond within one month. Contact us through the enquiry form or at info@mkmroofing.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us: we'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it and tell you the outcome. You can also complain to the Information Commission (the ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your information we'll update this page and the date at the top.
